The Green Park Stadium was constructed in 1945. It has a seating capacity of nearly 40,000 and is situated close to the river Ganga. It is the only stadium in the country that boasts of a ‘Students Gallery’. The stadium falls under the control and jurisdiction of Sports Department of Uttar Pradesh. The stadium has seen a series of centuries in the 21 matches that it has hosted.

The ends are known as the Mill Pavilion End and the Hostel End. These are named after the Elgin Mill and DAV College which are close to the stadium. The pitch at Green Park is known to be helpful for spinners and there have been some great performances by the veterans like Jasubhai Patel, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Subhash Gupte, etc.
